The Borden Friendship Club held a Christmas bingo Dec. 17 with a small turnout. Winning hams or turkeys were Helen Sutherland, Audrey Duda, Lottie Petriew and Terry Kun. Double winners were Rita Smith, Jackie Meister and Eileen Petrun.

Village council now meets on the second Tuesday

Council meetings in the Village of Meota have changed the date to the second Tuesday of the month, so the next meeting will be on Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 7 p.m. in the village office.

Chili on a bun hosted Jan. 22

Cards were played Dec. 16 at the Maidstone Drop In Centre. High score went to Margaret MacEachern and low to Jean Hartman. Lunch was provided by Denise Newton. Christmas bingo was played Dec. 18 with a good turnout.
