Eagle's Wing is the name of a professional singing and dance family from Fiji who now reside in Canada. Their music and dance is famous in the 麻豆传媒AV Pacific.

Senator Herbert Sparrow was born on Jan. 4, 1930 to Abiah and Olive (Gramson) Sparrow on the family farm near Vanscoy. Even in his youth, it was evident Herb had a bent for business and entrepreneurship.

"It was quite amazing I didn't expect quite so much humour," said one of the handful of men who attended. "I enjoyed it. I found it quite moving in parts," said one of the mostly female audience members. "It was so much fun.

"Go to your left, second from the outside... Now, you don't want to squash, then just slide it under, like that, with the inside straw there, nice and flat. Then go to your right, same thing..." Wheat weaving is easy, says instructor Diane Yonz.

It's February school break week. But that doesn't mean there isn't anything to do. The North Battleford Library will be hopping with family fare for all ages this week. Wednesday, Feb. 19, there will be a children's movie. It will begin at 2:30 p.m.

The Cribbage games to be held Jan. 28 were cancelled due to weather and sickness. Bingo was held Jan. 30 with a small crowd in attendance. Callers were Bev Stewart and Denise Newton. Denise also provided lunch.

Norman Carter School Community Council held a family dance at the Saskcan Centre Feb. 8. The dance was a fundraiser for the Norman Carter Playground.

We have been fortunate not to have the snowstorms that have plagued eastern Canada. However, the light snow, the fairly strong winds and milder temperatures have made driving difficult since the roads and highways have been icy.

Even though the Speers and District United Church is getting smaller in numbers, the congregation still has a few members who have increased difficulty managing the stairs in the basement.
