Last weekend, Yorkton played host to a senior men鈥檚 and women鈥檚 basketball tournament. Games were held throughout the weekend at both Sacred Heart High School and Yorkton Regional High School.

Three rinks from Manitoba and one from Norquay were the top four teams at the Kamsack Club 55 bonspiel which concluded on March 29. A total of 19 teams each played six six-end games, said Lloyd Thomas, an organizer of the bonspiel.

The skill levels of the seven members of the Kamsack Comprehensive Institute Spartan senior boys basketball team grew immensely during the season, said Cory Johnson, the coach.
