Hockey season is just wrapping up for most leagues – the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League included. But last weekend, the Yorkton Terriers held their annual spring camp to get a sense of what their team would look like next year.

Yorkton is a frequent stop on any Canadian Wrestling’s Elite (CWE) tour. And last week while they were here on their 8th anniversary tour, it was no different.

There were 170 taekwondo competitors who filled the Nexera Flexihall at the Gallagher Centre in Yorkton on Saturday. It was the 19th annual Prairie Wildfire Taekwondo Challenge.

With the warmer months approaching – though maybe not quickly enough – the summer sports programs are getting ready for the 2017 season. Among these sports is baseball. This year, there’s a new president of Yorkton Minor Baseball - Brian Murray.
