KCI senior boys basketball team grew immensely during the season

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The 2016-17 season concluded in early March, Johnson said, adding that this year鈥檚 team had a lot of talented boys who put in a lot of their own time during the season.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淲e had our ups and downs but the lessons these boys learned while playing basketball will help them be successful later in life,鈥 he said. 鈥淚t was a pleasure getting to work with and coach these young men.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 鈥淥ur younger players will learn from their losses and will come back stronger next year,鈥 he said.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 During the season, the team played in four tournaments: in Canora, Melville and Preeceville in January, and a home tournament in February.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Newton Cote, a member of the Spartans鈥 alumni, helped Johnson coach the team, which was comprised of Michael Chan, Paris Campre, Lionel Cote, Ian Martin, Nathan Bielecki, Colin Tulloch and Austin Hilderman.
