With the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League on its seasonal December break, it provides an opportunity to see how the local Yorkton Terriers have measured up by the numbers so far this season.

With 2017 coming to an end, it’s time to look back on all that happened in the Yorkton sports world. It was a true roller coaster year – championships were won, records were broken, and coaching staffs changed.

The Yorkton RawTec Maulers took a loss on home ice last Wednesday dropping a 5-1 decision to Regina.

The Canora Atom Black Cobras hosted a hockey tournament on December 8-10, and came away victorious in the A-side championship game.

The Yorkton Terriers head to the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League break after a pair of weekend losses.

The Saskatchewan Rush season kicked off Saturday, and that is a highlight of the sporting year from this scribe’s perspective. If you are not aware of the Rush yet, I cannot overstate the excitement you are missing.

The Yorkton RawTec Maulers have extended their current winning streak to four games thanks to a pair of wins in North Battleford on the weekend.
