The Yorkton RawTec Maulers took a loss on home ice last Wednesday dropping a 5-1 decision to Regina.
Aiden Bulych got the host Maulers off to a good start on the Farrell Agencies Arena ice scoring the first goal of the contest, but that would be all the offenceYorkton could come up with on the night.
Adam Herold of Regina scored on the powerplay with 2:43 left in the first period to tie the score.
In the second period Regina extended their lead with goals by Parker Hendren and Jaydon Dureau.
It would be a repeat of the middle frame in the third period as Dureau scored on the powerplay and Matthew Tress added an empty netter to make it a 5-1 win for the Pat Canadians.
Dakota Berezowski took the loss in the Yorkton net facing 27 shots, while Jared Thompson faced 20 in the win for Regina.
The win moves Regina into top spot in the Saskatchewan AAA Midget Hockey League with 49 points. The loss leaves Yorkton with a 14-13-1-1 record and 30 points, good enough sixth in the standings.
