A pleasant spring seems to be leading into a nice summer. The vivid green of the foliage in the west valley is very appealing to the eye. One enjoys walking there, noticing the young birds growing up.

As we near the foreboding final exams we are ever so busy at Maidstone High. June 1, the Grade 7 class left for their fieldtrip to Edmonton. Their itinerary included the science museum, IMAX and West Edmonton Mall.

Theresa Kennedy is home after a few days in hospital. Those visiting her while she was hospitalized were Scotty and Darlene Sam and Debbie and Jackie Gerbig. Theresa is home now and we wish her well.

The seed is finally in the ground. According to the farmers who drop in for coffee, the seeding is all but complete. May 23 and again June 3 the mercury dipped as far as -4 C in this area.

Motion Captured, Motion Denied features clay and stoneware works by Jody Greenman-Barber and Zane Wilcox. These works were created in response to the concept of motion. Greenman-Barber's pieces focus on capturing motion as a moment in time.
