Oct. 2, members of the Rivers' Edge Quilt Guild met at the Don Ross craft room at 1 p.m. for their monthly meeting. The meeting gives the members an opportunity to display monthly projects, share ideas and learn new things.

Warm, dry spell aids harvest

The dry weather we have been enjoying has enabled farmers to make good progress with harvest operations. Quite a number have completed combining and others report having very little left to do. It is always a relief when the weather co-operates.

Museum reps meet in Wilkie

The North West Museum Association fall meeting was hosted by the Wilkie Museum members Oct. 4. Museums represented were Bresaylor, Glaslyn, Goodsoil, Lashburn, Maidstone, Neilburg, Meadow Lake, Rabbit Lake, St. Walburg, Spiritwood, Unity and Wilkie.
