Occasionally I get a good laugh from a news item. I don't mean those cynical snickers or unenthusiastic guffaws resulting from a clever cartoon. I mean a really funny bit of news that doesn't demean anyone else.

Dear Editor I have driven all over the city of North Battleford and have not missed many humps or potholes. I have noticed 11th Avenue is in good shape. I would suggest the City hire the contractor that surfaced it.

A popular topic for my dad and my aunt to discuss when they're both here is the sheer amount of music in the Battlefords when they grew up here. Just on their street lived a handful of children who grew into professional musicians.

Summary:

Spring cleaning took on a little more urgency for me this year. It actually started in December when we put our house on the market. It took a big initial cleanse and discipline to keep everything orderly just in case there was a showing.
