The 100th anniversary celebration for the Rural Municipality of Round Hill No. 467 was held Sunday, Aug. 7, 2011 at the Sandwith Community Hall.

False alarm at Gold Eagle

It turned out to be a false alarm that fire crews responded to at the Gold Eagle Casino Tuesday. The call came to the fire department came in at 5:11 p.m. Smoke, fumes and dust from the premises were reported.

Motor vehicle accident at Territorial and 100th Street

There have been no injuries reported in a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Territorial Drive and 100th Street Tuesday. The accident happened around 9 a.m., and was described as a minor rear-end collision involving two passenger vehicles.

Rash of the thefts investigated

Aug. 14 was a banner day for local crime, with three incidents being investigated by Battlefords RCMP. A break and enter occurred at a residence on the 1400 block of 108th Street Aug. 14.
