Holiday gatherings with family enjoyed

New year 2013 has arrived and we hope it is a good one in every way. Jean Stewart spent Christmas Eve with the Cameron Stewart family and Christmas Day with the Stoughton family. It was so good to see everyone and all the great-grandchildren.

The Christmas season has come and gone all too quickly. It was a busy time with lots of visiting, entertaining and family gatherings. Some, who had been wintering in Arizona and area, were home for Christmas.

Boil water advisory in effect in Neilburg

A precautionary drinking water advisory has been issued for the Village of Neilburg. A power outage during the night Dec. 30/31 caused a pump system failure which resulted in a situation where this order was necessary.

Holidays are over, regular activities back in action

Well, now it's official. Both regular Christmas and Ukrainian Christmas are over. Ukrainian New Year's is this weekend and there are still some communities in Saskatchewan who celebrate these festivities.

Snowmobile rallies coming up in Borden and area

Snowmobile rallies are coming up in the Borden area. The Borden Community Centre preservation committee with the help of the Borden Parks and Rec. Board hosts one Jan. 19. The rally starts at 10 a.m.
