Although we didn't have very much sunshine over Christmas, the outdoors was beautiful with snow and hoar frost on the trees. We have had more sunshine since Christmas with warmer temperatures.

Among the family gatherings was that of Lynn and Murray Blyth who had their family all home Christmas Day.

Terry and Rene Pike had all their family home and also among the guests were Cora and Monseil Prosser of Loon Lake.

Bill Pike hosted the Florence Pike family for Christmas Day with 42 family members present for the day or part of the day. Wayne and Jane Pike and their family, who live in various places including Goodsoil, Meadow Lake and Ottawa, enjoyed the day.

Helena and Christine Pike were guests of Ellen and Maurice Oddan who had their son Mark, his wife Tracy and son Carter home for a few days including Christmas Day.

Keith and Eileen Evans spent Christmas with Marian White at Cut Knife.

It is difficult to report all the Christmas activities that took place but it was a busy time.

Best wishes to Mrs. Lou Forrest of Hallsholme, Lloydminster who celebrated her birthday Jan. 8. Lou keeps active. One of her activities is playing cards at the Legion Hall. Many more happy days, Lou!

Happy belated birthday to Lois Pike whose family honoured her with a family gathering at the bowling alley in Maidstone Dec. 30. A delicious supper prepared by her family at 6 p.m. was thoroughly enjoyed, topped off with birthday cake. The many guests enjoyed visiting and bowling as part of an enjoyable evening.

Best wishes, Lois, for the year ahead. I'm sure it will be a busy one for you!
