Easter visits have residents on the move

Dorothy Kissick had a busy Easter weekend, Saturday was to Unity to her daughter Cindy's. Quinton and Chantell Blanchette took her there. Monday she was to Tilly and Randy Staughton's for supper with her daughter-in-law Joanne Kissick.

March was one for the record books

Sympathy goes out to Harley Custer of Battleford and the families on the recent passing of his wife Nona Irene Custer, formerly Besse of the Wilson Lake area. Nona and Harley spent a few years in Biggar and moved to Kamloops, B.C.

A concert with Dan Bersey of Newfoundland - entertainer, comedian, Christian speaker - along with Quinn and Bruin Eberle of North Battleford, a fiddle and guitar playing brother/sister duo, is today, April 11, at the Borden Community Centre.

Storm keeps two teams away from open spiel

On the weekend of March 22-24, the Edam Curling club held their annual open bonspiel. There were 14 teams. Sixteen were entered, but two were unable to attend as they were snowed in by the storm.

Snow removal help appreciated

Last week cards and bingo were cancelled at the Maidstone Drop-In Centre. March 25, cribbage was played with a small attendance. High score went to Bev Stewart and low to Jean Stewart. Lunch was supplied by Dorothy Schwartz.

Border Tones enjoyed

Sunday a number of the apartment people were at the suites to listen to the Border Tones and have a delicious roast beef supper. Dorothy Kissick and Colleen Koski had supper at Sonny's Sunday. After they drove around town among the snow banks.
