The Preeceville and District Heritage Museum was represented by board members Agnes Murrin, Lorne and Marge Plaxin and Darlene Medlang at the Seneca Root meeting held in Kamsack on April 26.

Representatives of seven of the nine members of the Seneca Root Museum Association met in Kamsack last week for the first of two meetings the association has each year.

Kelvington 4-H Beef Club was well represented April 23, when Amber Spray and Blake Zagrodney travelled to Canwood to compete in the Provincial Public Speaking Competition, reported Christine Zagrodney, a parent.

A special community volunteer tea, recognizing volunteers in the area for their hard work and dedication was hosted during National Volunteer Week on April 25 at the Preeceville Club 60.

The Barveenok Ukrainian Dance Club hosted its annual spring concert with the talent of the many dancers showcased at the Sturgis Composite High School on April 30.

The Good Spirit School Division (GSSD) is facing difficult decisions that will need to be made regarding the allocation of resources within the division.

The Sturgis branch of the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation honoured avid hunters and fishermen at the annual banquet and trophy night on April 29 at the Sturgis Community Hall.
