Weyburn Mayor Debra Button returned recently from what she described as "a successful and productive" conference of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM), hosted this year in Halifax.

Drive for a Cure scheduled for June 18

This year will be the ninth year of Drive for a Cure in Carlyle. The annual event is scheduled for June 18 with an anticipated 24 teams and 96 golfers expected to take over the Carlyle Golf Club.

The search for a missing Weyburn man ended on a sad note, when his body was discovered in the early evening hours of June 14. The search for 80-year-old Donald McCowan began two days previous, when his wife reported him missing on June 12.
