The wet spring has forced the organizers of the Estevan Relay for Life to change locations.

Some very important dates are coming up at the high school this month. Weyburn Comprehensive School (WCS) will hold their annual Activity Awards on Monday, June 13 at 7:30 p.m.

Report fromthe Weyburn Police Service for the week of May 30 to June 6: *On June 5, police were called to a report of a fight at a local bar.Upon arrival, police found the bar owner engaged in preventing a patron from re-entering the bar.

Claude Carles, president of Weyburn Inland Terminal (WIT), announced on June 3 that the company has entered into a letter of intent with Sedley Seeds (2007) Ltd., which will, if completed, result in WIT acquiring all of the assets of Sedley Seeds.

Carlyle Elementary School was home to a fun-filled evening for four-year-olds on June 2.

Town council met for a regular meeting on June 1. In addition to council members, two community members were present. The council discussed the purchase of a pump that they have been temporarily using for draining excess water.

The 2011 Federal Budget was reintroduced and accepted on June 6 in the House of Commons by a new Saskatchewan Speaker of the House.
