Canalta wins Employer of Choice tourism award
Tourism Saskatchewan announced that 27 businesses earned the 2017 Employer of Choice designation including the Canalta Assiniboia. This is the third year in a row that Canalta Assiniboia has received this designation.

The 1st Assiniboia Scout Group hosted an indoor electronics camp weekend on March 11 including racing cars, playing with electronics and camping overnight. They were encouraged to bring their electronics to use as part of the activities.

The Assiniboia Senior Rebels lead the championship final series 3-1 against the Mossbank Blades after winning games three and four on March 10 and 11. The Senior Rebels downed Mossbank 3-1 in game three at the Assiniboia Civic Centre on March 10.

A total of 12,772 head of cattle were sold in Saskatchewan the week ending February 24. This is down from 13,406 head sold the previous week, and down from 17,210 head the same week a year ago.
