The Prairie Villa personal care home in Assiniboia held a bake sale on February 22 to raise funds for Telemiracle 41. The event attracted a steady stream of customers.

The Pop Up Art Show and Sale took place in Assiniboia over two days on February 25-26. It was organized by the Assiniboia and District Arts Council and was open to any artists who wished to show or sell their works.

The Assiniboia Senior Rebels and the Mossbank Blades each grabbed the lead in the Notekeu League playoffs. After the February 17-18 weekend, both teams had a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven playoff series.

The drama club at the Assiniboia Composite High School delighted the audience with their performance of Alice, a one-act play, on February 15 at the ACHS gymnasium.

Nolan Berner, goaltender for the 麻豆传媒AVern Junior B Rebels, was presented with the 麻豆传媒AV Division All Star Goaltender award from Mark Legare, the Prairie Junior Hockey League statistican/media relations.

Assiniboia and district have been enjoying unseasonably warm weather in February with highs above zero and reaching above 10 Celsius.

A total of 11,178 head of cattle were sold in Saskatchewan the week of February 10, down from 12,900 head sold the previous week, and down from 15,855 head sold the same week a year ago, reported Saskatchewan Agriculture.

The Royal Canadian Legion branch in Assiniboia held its annual Valentine鈥檚 Strawberry Tea on February 11 at the 55 Club building in Assiniboia. There were approximately 75 people attending the event, which included food, music and a door prize draw.
