A small fire was contained at a home on Panton Avenue Saturday night. The alarm came in to North Battleford Fire and Emergency Services at around 8:50 p.m. It was determined the fire began in the furnace of the home.

Child playing with lighter starts fire

It started with a child playing with a lighter, and ended with a visit from some firefighters. The Humboldt Fire Department was called to a house fire on the 300 block of 2nd Ave. in Humboldt just after 4 p.m. on December 5.
