Pageant has a Dr. Seuss twist

Manitou Evangelical Free Church held their annual Christmas festivities Dec. 19. Carol and Amy Graham, a mother/daughter duo, teamed up to write Bethlemazoo in the rhyming style of Dr. Seuss. This was presented in the sanctuary.

Maidstone Gully Multiple 4-H Club held their third general meeting Dec. 6. A Christmas party, held at Milleton Hall Dec. 11, was discussed. Hannah Bedwell did a Cloverbud demonstration. She showed how she baked cookies.

Our sympathy to the Harbridge family on the passing of Bill Harbridge. Bill was a one time resident of Pine Island Apartments. Theresa Kennedy spent Christmas eve with her daughters, Kim and Jackie Gerbig and Buck and Jackie Gerbig.

Affinity Credit Union, Borden branch, collected non-perishable food for a local needy family before Christmas, and patrons got a chance to enter draws each time a food item was brought in.

Colourful displays make village sparkle

Christmas displays and lights in Waseca were exceptional this year. Congratulations to all who took the time and made the effort to make the village look beautiful at this special time of year.
