Villa Pascal employee appreciation and long term service awards were presented to Villa Pascal employees June 1. Representing the Villa Pascal board of directors was chairman Robert L'Heureux and vice-chair Therese Giasson.

Cliff Scott, originally from the Marsden area, and his wife, Marg, spent almost 37 years as missionaries to Japan. For the past 23 years they resided in the bustling city of Toyko.

The Swift Mount Light Horse 4-H Club has had a busy couple of months. The members enjoyed a trick horse clinic with Jackie Johnson, a professional trick horse trainer and show-person, from Regina May 14-15 at Bonanza Acres.

Nine members of the Crown Hill 4-H Beef Club, including Duncan and Rachel Sutherland of Borden, attended the Junior Ag 4-H Regional Show in Saskatoon, July 8-11.

Don't miss the reception for the "Transmitting Light" exhibition this Saturday, July 16 from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Chapel Gallery. The artists will discuss their inspiration and how they created the final piece from the concept.

June 15 - Kelly and Ray Gabruch stopped by to visit Tillie Linkert on their way home to Medicine Hat. Shirley James picked up her mom Tillie Linkert, Jean Stewart, Anne Reeds and I and took us to Waseca to Country Blend.

Bingo was played June 8 at the Maidstone Drop InCentre with Margaret MacEachern and Jean Smith doing the calling. The loonie pot was won and divided between Jean Hartman and Dorothy Harmel. Lunch was provided by Lil McMillan.

We would like to wish Lil McMillan a belated Birthday greetings. Lil celebrated her birthday on July 3 with her family. July 1 started out rather damp. We were watching the parade go by the apartments.
