The 1, 2, 3 Care For Me Daycare in Sturgis hosted its Terry Fox Run on September 28. Children and helpers canvassed the Town of Sturgis businesses and along with random donations they raised $671.

On July 27 descendants of the late Mykola (Nick) and Tatiana Folwark gathered at the Folwark family farm to unveil a commemorative cairn and plaque honouring over 100 years of farm ownership by the Folwark family.

The Preeceville Harvard Air Cadets held an open house on October 11 when promoting the program was highlighted.

Held on October 7, which was during Fire Prevention Week, the October trade show at the Preeceville Community Hall focused on fire prevention and safety. The Preeceville Volunteer Fire Department sponsored the event with 36 vendors in attendance.
