Eleven teams were entered in the Sturgis open bonspiel held from January 15-21. The team of Craig Folk with team members Jason Peterson, Kipp Bayer and Nick Bodnar won the A event of the bonspiel.

The children's winter festival is scheduled to feature many events and activities all geared towards winter outdoor fun. The festival, sponsored by the Preeceville Arena Board will be held in conjunction with the Preeceville Musher Rendezvous.

The Sturgis Composite School has opened its doors to providing a breakfast for students. The program kicked off January 16 with Kendra Fowler responsible for operating the program.

Yacyshyn rink wins Preeceville Seniors bonspiel

The Joe Yacyshyn rink of Preeceville topped the Preeceville Seniors Bonspiel held the week of January 9-12. Team members included, Nick Bodnar, Darrell Laughren and Mary Pasiechnik. There was a total of 15 entries attracted to the bonspiel.
