The Preeceville Lions Club has taken on a major project with widening and continuing clearing trees along the walking and ski trails around the Town of Preeceville, according to Ralph Ager, Lions member.

The Preeceville Volunteer Fire Department received an early Christmas present December 4 when members picked up its new fire truck from the border.

There were 430 tickets sold throughout the month of November for the opportunity to win a 90-second shopping spree at Shop Easy in Preeceville. The Preeceville Nursery School held the fundraiser.

The names of the days in a week are for the most part based on Norse mythology and astrology, as in the sun and the moon.

A special dramatic reading of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol was brought to life November 29 when readers took on the challenge at a program called The Dickens’ Night at the Preeceville Trinity United Church.
