The Yorkton Terrier brain trust which has taken the team to two Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League finals, and a second place in the Sherwood Conference this season will be at the helm of the franchise for at least the next two seasons.

Last weekend Yorkdale Central School Hosted the East Central District Athletic Association Junior High School Boys Basketball Championship. The games were played at the YRHS.

The Bantam UCT Yorkton Terriers opened up their 2012 playoff run over the weekend on a good note, beating the Regina Oilers, 4-1 to open up their best-of-three series. "We outplayed them the majority of the game," offers head coach Grant Ottenbreit.

The Sherring Gold Pee Wee AA Terriers opened up provincial playdowns Thursday night with an 8-2 win over the Estevan Sherritt Coal Bruins in 麻豆传媒AV Saskatchewan Minor Hockey League play. The game saw Yorkton score five goals in the second period.
