The 麻豆传媒AV East Senior Baseball League is getting close to determining a new champion. Following the elimination of the Cardinals at Jubilee Park several weeks back, the title is officially up for grabs.

Anyone in the Yorkton area who is interested in participating in a senior men's football league in the fall is asked to please contact Darcy Zaharia. Players must be 18 years of age or old and be able to play from late August to October.

The Saskatchewan Men's Amateur Golf Championships were held last week at Deer Park. There were several locals vying for a spot on the national team. Monday and Tuesday morning saw golfers face some of the worst weather for the tournament.

The Yorkton Cardinals hosted the Pee Wee "A" Provincial Championship in baseball from July 20 to 22. Six different teams came from across the province for the tournament. The Cardinals lost 4-9 in their first game against the Kindersley Royals.
