Daniels Discuss' Disc Golf

I must say I was excited to see the Sasquatch online. The disc is a maximum distance drive from Daredevil Discs, a company I love to promote because it's Canadian, and love to throw because generally the company makes killer discs.

I must say I was excited to see the Sasquatch online.

The disc is a maximum distance drive from Daredevil Discs, a company I love to promote because it's Canadian, and love to throw because generally the company makes killer discs.

So when the Sasquatch arrived I was psyched. I grabbed the disc and immediately liked its beefy ridge. It feels good in-hand, reminding quite a bit of the Flagship driver from SkyIron Discs (reviewed last summer).

Now I will say I was somewhat disappointed in the hop print on the Sasquatch. Daredevil is really known for outstanding, realistic, art graphics of animals on discs such as the recently reviewed Moose, the fine mid range Grizzly Bear, and the lightweight offering the Swift Fox. I had hoped for a real art print for the fabled creature. Instead it's a set of eyes in a tribal design. Nice, but not a standout.

So out to the Patrick Park Disc Golf Course in the city. The Moose arrived at the same time, and became an immediate favourite. It has become one of my main mid range discs.

The Sasquatch has proven more of an enigma for me.

This is a high speed disc. It wants to be tossed hard and quick. It wants to speed from the tee like a rocket. That is not my forte as a disc player past the half century mark in age.

That said, with more practice, and attention to keep the flight level from the hand, the Sasquatch became more useful.
The Sasquatch is not my go-to driver. I can't get the speed it requires, but I can say it has shown me enough to recommend big-armed players check it out. If you normally throw long and fast, the Sasquatch is going to like you, and you will no doubt like it.
This is not a disc for beginners, but veterans with speed will want to discover this beast real soon.
