Gender equality edging its way into hockey
On Saturday, March 15 a Canadian goalie debuted in professional hockey resulting in that goaltender stopping 27 shots for the Columbus Cottonmouths in a 4-3 loss to the Knoxville Ice Bears in Â鶹´«Ã½AVern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) action.

Officiating a hockey game. It's a tough job no matter what age group, atom through to the SJHL and beyond, but someone has to do it. After all, if no one willingly chose to don the stripes then hockey, quite simply, would cease to exist.
