TCA (The Containment Answer) Marketing Ltd. has set down roots in Carlyle. The family-owned-and-operated business opened their branch office here in April.

There was a decrease in the number of calls received by the Carlyle detachment last week, with a total of 48, as compared to 58 the previous week. Five of the calls related to complaints of physical assault.

You could see the smoke as soon as you came over the hill, just outside of White Bear. It was billowing from somewhere in Carlyle, black and menacing. It did not look good, and it would be easy to find the source.

Report from the Weyburn Police Service for the week of May 9 to 15: *Shortly after midnight on May 15, Police attended to a noisy party in the 400 block of Fifth Street. The occupants of the residence were warned about the noise bylaw.

Bear Claw Casino held a Diabetes Awareness Event on Thu, May 12. Employees of the Casino were provided with information and resources on diabetes, as well as the opportunity to have preliminary screening performed.

It's spring! And what do people like to do in the spring? Gardening!! For the past 20 years that has meant a trip to Prairie Greenhouse to pick up plants, trees, shrubs and, of course, a hanging basket or two.

The Arcola School Senior Drama students performed in the play The Fourth Wall Wednesday, May 11 at the Mac Murray Theatre in Arcola. The Fourth Wall was a comedy written by Rebekah M. Ball, about a play within a play.

Â鶹´«Ã½AVeast Connection is inviting southeast municipalities to their upcoming annual general meeting scheduled for May 25 at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held in Forget at the Happy Nun Café.

Connie Wilson, who grew up in Carlyle, has been selected to represent the Saskatchewan Command of the Royal Canadian Legion this summer as part of a Legion Pilgrimage.
