I hear it every day. The guy who does 300 crunches to flatten his stomach. A woman who wants me to show her exercises to get rid of excess fat on her buttocks and thighs.

We want to give a thanks to two local SaskPower workers who went above and beyond the call of duty on the evening of June 27. Monday, June 25, like thousands of others in our area, we lost power due to a massive storm that blew through.

I can't imagine having any other job than the one I have. Although, like anything else, it has its challenges and stresses, being a writer is my idea of the ideal career.

Dear Editor This is in response to "Pawn shops not the problem'' (Regional Optimist, July 13). I have lived in Ontario and been to many places, like Toronto, London, Ottawa and Vancouver, B.C.

Last week provided more proof to me that even when I'm supposed to have a weekend off, the job of a reporter never ends. July 14 I was in Regina, in the stands at a Saskatchewan Roughriders home game against the B.C. Lions at Mosaic Stadium.
