NORTH BATTLEFORD - Building permits for North Battleford came in much the same in 2021 as they were in 2020.
According to the final building permit report for the year, presented to North Battleford council at their meeting Monday, there were 102 permits issued in 2021 for a total value of $22,560,700.
That compares to 91 permits for $23,477,428 in 2020.
The numbers for December were also presented. There were five permits issued in December for $231,400, down from seven permits for $601,600 in 2020.
The business licence total was $221,574.59 for 2021, down from $230,786.21.
Director of Corporate Services Jennifer Niesink said both the building and business license permit numbers are encouraging.
She said it was “a couple of years with higher than expected numbers with building permits, which is a wonderful thing, The city’s still growing”.
