I know enough has been reported about the big storm of June 25. The high winds broke some of our large trees. However, the smaller trees and shrubs on the riverbank have not fared too badly.

Blaine Lake's production of Annie was a huge success with four well-attended performances from July 11 through July 14. Seating capacity exceeded 85 at each performance.

While on holidays, I was shown through a most interesting factory in Humboldt. This factory makes portable stages for all over North America. The main sections of the stage are made from 3/4 inch Douglas fir shipped from Oregon in the United States.

Centennial birthday celebrated at LTC in Unity

Lillian Mary (Parish) McElwaine was born July 10, 1912, the sixth of 10 children in Vera. Lillian is better known to family as Tilly, a nickname given to her early in life by her uncle. Tillie was raised on the family farm northwest of Unity.

Car Mel Country joined the Red Hat ladies July 20 in the Battleford parade. I'm sure those who were there truly enjoyed it. The children were laughing and waving and so were the adults. The music just added to this colourful float.

Well, what can I say? I guess I can begin with an episode about a well. As there has been so much rainfall all summer, strange things are showing up in places where they never were before. A case in point might be my garden.
