The final weekend of March was celebrated in Medstead by an event hosted at the local arena. The annual open bonspiel took place on the weekend of March 29.

On Saturday, March 23, the Medstead Central School gymnasium overflowed with attendees to its volleyball fundraiser.

HUMBOLDT — Having be the first called up in the Humboldt Legion’s chase the ace draw, Joyce Szautner was guaranteed to win a share 20 per cent of the evening’s earnings – $1,075. Then she drew the ace of spades, winning the jackpot of $10,069.

TISDALE — The restaurant torn down last week in Tisdale went by many names through the years, and just as many owners. Most recently it belonged to Sean and Alison Levesque and was known as Calista’s, named after their daughter.
