The final weekend of March was celebrated in Medstead by an event hosted at the local arena.
The annual open bonspiel took place on the weekend of March 29. Hosted by MADRA (Medstead and District Recreation Association), the festivities kicked off with a fish fry.
Locally sourced fish was served along with salad and drinks to attendees looking to celebrate the onset of the bonspiel. The fish dinner began at 5 p.m. and led up to the commencement of the curling competition.
