Last week, Premier Brad Wall announced that he is pleased that other premiers have joined Saskatchewan and BC to call on the federal government on measures that will improve preparedness and response to wild铿乺es.

The Etomaimie Valley Rider Club allowed avid horse riders to showcase their skills at various events during the gymkhana, which was part of the Preeceville Western Weekend July 11-12. Jen Hue was the announcer for the two-day event.

Several students from the area were among close to 160 students to receive Access Communications Centennial Scholarships in 2015.

The Preeceville and District Heritage Museum recently received a special addition to the collection of artifacts already on display at the Museum.

The Preeceville Art Group hosted an event on July 6 during Old Home Week to display the talent of local artists. The group also welcomed Norman Yakel, who is originally from Preeceville, as a guest presenter.

Chuckwagon and chariot races were the highlight of the Preeceville Lions Club Western Weekend on July 10 to 12. The races were threatened by a few rain clouds but avid fans waited through the rain to watch the races.

Science-crazy kids don鈥檛 have to worry about being bored this summer. The Royal Saskatchewan Muse-um (RSM) has coordinated an array of activities for active, curious, young people.

Good news can be very habit forming ... or so Saskatchewan has found over the past decade and certainly in the last seven and a half years that Premier Brad Wall鈥檚 Saskatchewan Party has been in power.
