Santa Claus made a special trip to Preeceville on December 11, taking time out of his busy schedule to visit with children in the Preeceville and Sturgis area.

Five adults and five youths have been charged in connection with numerous incidents of break and enters, thefts and mischief, which included 27 charges stemming from incidents in Canora, Sturgis and Preeceville area between September 1 and November 1

During the Christmas season, many younger children have a difficult time to buy personal Christmas gifts for their parents.

For this Christmas season, 16 volunteers lent a hand wrapping 78 gifts that were donated for children (16 years and under) registered with the Family Resource Centre and the Child Action Pan committee.

The Preeceville School elementary students performed for family members and friends in the annual Christmas concert that was steeped in tradition on December 17. Jakob Turchinetz and Dylan Fenske were the masters of ceremonies.

The true meaning of Christmas came to life when a small cast of young children from the combined United Churches of Trinity and Grace enacted the adaptation of the story behind the birth of Jesus.
