The Tim Olson rink of Preeceville, with Jess Olson (third), Ralph Ager (second) and Denise Olson (lead), won the annual Stenen Open Bonspiel which ran from January 31 to February 7. There were 16 rinks registered for the bonspiel.

Karissa Hoffart will be the headline performer at the annual Sturgis Kinsmen Mini-Miracle scheduled for March 3.

Shirley Jackson of Saskatoon began working as the acting administrator for the Town of Preeceville on January 4. She is on contract filling in for a 12-month maternity leave for Lorelei Karcha.

The Whitehawk Arts Council is scheduled to welcome the Travelling Mabels on February 25 for the second concert in the Stars for Saskatchewan series. The Travelling Mabels are scheduled to perform at the Sturgis Community Hall on February 25.
