The Town of Preeceville hosted a registration and information session on September 7 with 11 organizations in attendance.

The Preeceville Nursery is gearing up for the beginning of the new school term and all the new faces showed up at a meet-and-greet evening on September 7.

Preeceville Elementary students showcased their athletic abilities at the annual track-and-field day meet on September 9. "The day kicked off with a barbecue followed by students participating in various events," said Sheila Kelbeck.

Two new teachers and one intern have joined the staff at the Preeceville School for the 2016-17 school year. Allyson Rock, originally of Canora, has joined the staff at the Preeceville School.

The St. Patrick's Sturgis and Preeceville councils of the Catholic Women's League of Canada welcomed Rev. Mark Miller to Preeceville Club 60 on August 31 when he gave a presentation on caring for the dying in an ethical manner.

Allyson Grywacheski has joined the staff at the Sturgis Elementary School. She is originally from Norquay and received her bachelor of secondary education degree from the University of Regina where she majored in sociology and minored in English.

An 80th anniversary celebration was held at the Lutheran Nelson Lake Bible Camp on August 14. 鈥淭he event was well attended and a beautiful Sunday afternoon was enjoyed by all,鈥� said Donna Chalupiak.
