The Preeceville School staff and administration were busy preparing to welcome back students for another school season on August 30 prior to the first day of school.

Having just dropped off the daughter at Good Spirit Bible Camp, I stopped in briefly at my parents’ place in Yorkton to refill the belly. Five miles out of Yorkton, the truck made an odd ding.

Preeceville slo-pitch concluded its season on July 27. All games were held at the Preeceville Sports grounds throughout May, June and July. Seven teams were entered in the league play with Balls Deep recording 9 wins and 1 loss.

Preeceville Rocks is a fun community activity that involves everyone from young to old. A rock painting and informational afternoon was held August 24 at the Preeceville Legion Hall.

Kalyssa Tuz, daughter of Cherilyn and Michael of Preeceville recently became a published author for her poem Outside the Box and won second place honours in the poetry category, Mensa Canada 2018 literary contest.

Hazel Urbanoski, Donna Olson and Kathleen Bashforth have been reappointed to the Sturgis Housing Authority board of directors. Other members of the board of directors are Blaine Medlang and Elaine Christopherson.
