Through the tall grass, the lioness stalks her zebra
The Star Wars Facebook page posted a photo on May 19 noting that on that day, 20 years earlier, The Phantom Menace came out. And I couldn't see it until my honeymoon. The reason was something or other about making it to my wedding on the 22nd.

Traditional farming methods featured at Draft Horse Field Days in Rama
The 2019 spring edition of the PALS (Performing Arts and Leisure Society) Draft Horse Field Days was held in Rama on May 18 and 19. Walter Hughes of Preeceville, PALS president, said approximately 20 volunteers were involved in putting on the event.

Arson across region On the evening of May 14 multiple fires were reported to the RCMP where land and buildings were burnt. Arson is suspected in some of these incidents. Please contact the Canora/Sturgis RCMP if you have any related information.

Fundraiser Crop in the ground for another year
The Preeceville Recreation board once again arranged for a field west of Preeceville to be used as fundraiser crop. The 70 acres was seeded to wheat, with the funds from the harvest going towards the bike and skate park committee.
