YRHS takes part in cross country meet

Matthijs Wenning, Brendan Campbell, Jaden Porte, Brandey Blahut and Braunty Pelchat rounded out the placings for the Yorkton Regional High School (YRHS) at the SHSAA provincial cross country championships held in Middle Lake, Sk., over the weekend.

SHHS junior girls preparing for districts

The SHHS Jr. Girls Volleyball team took part in the Yorkton Regional High School junior girls' volleyball tournament. The Saints were part of a four-team pool 'B' which included Canora, Estevan and Melville St. Henry's.

Saints advance to the playoffs

The senior Saints of Sacred Heart football did something last week they had never done before this season. They actually did three things they had not yet done this season. They lost a football game, and they didn't manage to score any points in it.

Second place for SHHS

The Sacred Heart Saints made Melville a very comfortable place to play over the weekend. Normally, enemy territory is an unfriendly place to play, but SHHS performed very well this past weekend at the MCS.

Despite loss, Harvest rookie puts on a show

The Yorkton Harvest appeared to put forth a better effort on a road trip to Tisdale last Thursday evening, outshooting the Trojans 28-24. Tisdale had a stronger showing in the last two periods where they scored three times in each.

The Harvest skated into Swift Current Saturday afternoon. They looked just fine until the third period. Yorkton jumped out to a 2-0 lead by the end of the second period on goals by Lynnden Pastachak and Nicholas Pouliot.
