The Yorkton Canadian Western Bank Terriers finished their AA Pee Wee season in the Â鶹´«Ã½AV Sask Minor Hockey League with a record of 22-1-2 for 46 points.

A new baseball program in Yorkton and Area will make sure kids and adults living with disabilities won’t be left out of the summer fun this year. Challenger Baseball is starting next month.

The Theodore Buffalos have earned the first provincial title in their half-century history. The Buffs are Saskatchewan Provincial ‘C’ champions after defeating the Drake Canucks in the best-of-three final.

Players of the four Kamsack Minor Hockey teams for the 2017-18 season were introduced and applauded during the annual windup banquet held at the Broda Sportsplex mezzanine on March 23.

The Preeceville Pats Atoms hockey team won the Major Hockey League A banner in front a home crowd in Preeceville on March 22. The first game in the finals for the A banner was held in Esterhazy on March 14. The final score was 6-5 for Esterhazy.

The Canora Skating Club presented its annual carnival with the theme A Night at the Movies on March 18 at the Canora Civic Centre. Organizers chose music from a number of favourite movies ranging from Top Gun to Alice in Wonderland.

Three Norquay rinks and one from Bowsman, Man., were the top four teams at the Club 55 year-end seniors’ bonspiel held in Kamsack March 19 to 21. A total of 16 rinks participated in the event.

For the first time since 2005, the Canora Cougars senior girl’s basketball team has advanced to the HOOPLA provincial finals.

The Yorkton Regional High School (YRHS) boys basketball team walked away from a massive provincial tournament with one win and two losses, bringing their solid season to a close.
