The Yorkton United Football Club U19 Boys travelled to North Battleford over the Canada Day long weekend to compete in the SSA 11 A side Provincial Championships. The team was led by coach Robert Okeny and assistant coach and manager Glen Gelowitz.

Cars, drivers, and bystanders got mud coats at Theodore鈥檚 2018 Super Swamper event on July 21. Participants plowed through a soggy trench during the mud fling competition while the audience enjoyed the spectacle along with drinks and snacks.

Several Kamsack athletes participated in the SOLE-stice track and field provincial meet in Saskatoon on June 16. They were athletes who placed in the top two at the regional meet held in Kamsack on May 26.

The Canora Reds mosquito baseball team rode a productive offense to a doubleheader sweep against the Wadena Wildcats on July 8 in Canora, in the first game action for this team made up of players from Canora, Kamsack and Norquay.

The Canora Golf and Country Club kicked off its Canora in Bloom festivities by hosting its annual Hole in One Tournament on July.

Yellowhead International Speedway was the host of some intense close racing on Sunday, July 15. Sometimes, the race was a bit too close, as there were spins and wrecks over the day.

The Yorkton Fighting Pikes have ended their lacrosse season. While the season did not end on the note the team would have liked, after an unsuccessful provincial tournament, Coach Adam Stewart is proud of the way players have developed over the year.
