On Saturday night, the Yorkton Cardinals bounced back from a series of losses, triumphing over the visiting Moose Jaw Miller Express. Yorkton grabbed an early lead in the Jun. 30 game. Riley Jepson scored a run in the second inning.

While I am an avid sports fan my own skills in terms of sport have been limited. I enjoy throwing steel-tipped darts but a lone 180 throw in all the games I have played is telling that I am not very good at it.

Team on a three-game winning streak

Refocused and reenergized. That was the main message at the Yorkton Terrier Junior Hockey Booster Club annual general meeting on Jun. 25.

The AA Bantam Parkland Expos wound up their regular season on Sunday, Jun. 24 with a pair of games at Jubilee Park. The team had a successful season, only losing once through the regular season and tournaments, for an overall record of 27-1.

Jun. 21 was Go Skateboarding Day, a day dedicated to getting people out on their boards and enjoying their local Skate Parks. Pictured, Finn Marion shows off his skills.

The hits kept coming for the 麻豆传媒AV East Senior Baseball League鈥檚 Yorkton E&S Yankees over the past week. The first game, in Yorkton, saw the Yankees meet the Parkland Padres.

The Yorkton Cardinals redeemed themselves against the Swift Current 57s on Jun. 19. It was the lone highlight in a disappointing week of baseball, as the Cardinals struggle to break out of their early season slump.

Twenty-seven athletes participated in the peewee/bantam football program for Grades 5 to 8 this spring. The Spartan football team began practicing during the last week of April until the middle of June.
