The Calder Playschool has ended for another year. On Wed., May 4, 2011, the playschool students enjoyed the day with pizza, doing crafts and receiving their grad hats and diplomas.

The month community potluck supper was held on May 11 at the Hut with two dozen people in attendance. As Mother's Day had just passed, Eva Huber donated a basket of Avon products which was used as a door prize for all the ladies in attendance.

The Quad Derby and Trade Show took place at the rink on Sat., May 7 and was sponsored by the Bredenbury Lions Club and Minor Sports. There were approximately 130 machines that took part in the derby.

Congratulations to Calvin Smith and Diane Yuzik of Melville on the birth of their son. Jazer Alexander Smith was born on March 28, 2011 at 7:48 p.m., at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre, weighing 7 lbs. 1 1/2 oz. and 20 inches long.
