Well, as our 4-H year progresses, our excitement and achievement builds. This month has been the one that most 4-H members dread (but with preparation and perseverance), and can excel at the Public Speaking Month.

The Legion had a poetry writing contest in November 2011, Renee Walker placed 3rd in the intermediate category and Melanie McDermott placed 2nd in the junior category.

The Calder Yalenka Dance Club went to Kamsack to dance at the Eaglestone Lodge and the Kamsack District Nursing Home. The Calder Yalenka Dance Club enjoyed dancing for the seniors.

Hilltop Curling Club sponsored a Strong Man Competition March 3 There were 16 teams of 2 persons each with several attending from Dubuc to join in the fun. Each team played at least 2 games and up to 4 games apiece.

Well, the Calder Seniors had their Whist Drive. Here are the winners of the whist drive: 1st Margie Mankish, 2nd Ann Mostoway, 3rd Peter Wereshuk and Arthur Martenuk and low went to Anna Fyck. The Pot of Gold winner was Peter Wereshuk.
