When Dragon’s Den is televised this season each Wednesday on CBC, many Canora area residents are taking note of one of the new Dragons – Michele Romanow. She is the daughter of Marvin and Dagmar Romanow of Calgary.

A total of 436 people signed the Visitors’ Book at the Canora Visitors’ Centre/Station House Museum during the 2015 tourist season, Joy Stusek said in her report to the Seneca Root Association’s fall meeting in Sturgis on October 21.

The public’s assistance is requested in helping to solve a recent rash of break and enters in the Canora/Sturgis detachment areas.

Brandi Zavislak, someone with long ties to the community, has been hired as the town’s community development officer. She started work on October 28.
