Weyburn named as top five finalist

The City of Weyburn's parks board is hoping to bring in more improvements and expansion of the Tatagwa Parkway, and are continuing with a contribution program through which they are hoping to garner community support for the park projects.

The Saskatchewan Soccer Association (SSA) will be holding its 2010 Provincial Championship tournament for Division 3 Soccer in Weyburn on Friday, July 16 through Sunday, July 18. The Championships will kick-off July 16 at 5 p.m.

Sixty-four golfers participated in the Early Safety Training (EST) program's annual golf tournament June 27 at the Weyburn Golf Club. The event raised $8,900 for the program's bursary fund.

The Family Place is holding one of their "souper" fundraisers once again. They are selling homemade soup for $7 a litre. Flavours include taco, Ukrainian borscht, cream of mushroom, corn chowder, cabbage roll, chilli noodle and chilli pasta.
