The skies over Weyburn were again lit up with brilliant flashes of lightning as a thunderstorm rolled through the area late on Thursday evening. This gallery of photos shows some of the lightning as the storm approached from the south-southwest.

Producers in the region are noting minor damage in the crops due to flooding, wind, flea beetles and grasshoppers in emerging crops.

The Pre-Kindergarten class and their Grade 9 buddies from St. Michael School in Weyburn enjoyed the warm sun at Weyburn's Young Fellows spray park on Wednesday morning. The buddies had fun in the water as they spent time together at the Don Mitchell Tot Lot.

Larry Heggs was declared the winner of the by-election for the City of Weyburn council on May 31.

Four players from the Weyburn Beavers ball club spent the morning at Legacy Park Elementary School, and this gallery of photos shows their time with a Grade 6 class, including meeting the provincial Scholastic Challenge winner, Farhan Mir, and asking for his autograph. The class studied Flight, and launched their own helicopters from the upper balcony to see how well they could fly.
